Germany is currently facing a significant shortage of students enrolled in dual study programs. According to recent statistics from the German Ministry of Labor and Education, there are over 92,000 vacant spots in this type of training.
A dual study program combines theoretical learning and practical training:
The theoretical part is conducted in accredited vocational training centers.
The practical part takes place within companies, institutions, hospitals, or hotels in Germany, offering students direct professional experience.
.
The program lasts for three full years.
Before traveling, each student receives a signed employment contract from the German company that will host them.
Students receive a monthly stipend ranging from €800 to €1,200 from the company throughout the training period.
Free accommodation is provided.
Upon arrival in Germany, students are granted a 3-year residence permit.
After completing the program and working for 2 additional years, they can apply for permanent residency.
After 8 years of legal residence, students can apply for German citizenship, with the study years included in that period.
As part of the program preparation, students can join a language stay in Germany for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months, with the goal of improving their German language skills in a native-speaking environment.
The stay includes:
▪︎ Intensive language courses at accredited institutes
▪︎ Accommodation with host families or in student housing
▪︎ Support with registration, insurance, and housing arrangements
▪︎ An opportunity to discover life in Germany before starting the vocational program
